This is how a pantry in Berlin looked like around 1900 (and how I wish that mine looked today)
Today it was 38 C in Berlin and we spent most of the day hiding in the shade and dipping our feet in the lake
Walking along this little coastal path yesterday on a very windy evening felt like being transported to Cornwall (with Costa Brava temperatures)

Collected a bunch of wild garlic flowers on a walk the other day and used them in a simple stew with onion, farro, puy lentils, curry, new potatos and lemon yoghurt
I made whipped butter! With smoked Maldon salt, dried tomatoes and chilli. It tasted pretty great (although what doesn’t on freshly baked bread) and was a breeze to make - I just threw soft butter and the other ingredients into a food processor
Winter sun, a spinach and grapefruit salad, chickpeas drying before going into the oven
I love these cardamom, saffron and white wine poached pears so much that they deserve a permanent spot in my feed :-)
